Six-month milestone sessions are one of my absolute favorites.  As a Charlotte, NC baby photographer, I can tell you they really are one of the most perfect ages to photograph. This stage is full of expression, personality... and the sweetest baby rolls you both have worked so hard for. This little boy’s session was the perfect example of why milestone photography really is so special.

We began his 6 month baby boy milestone session with a classic and timeless look. He wore a soft blue outfit paired with a bright blue backdrop, creating a clean, cohesive setup that never goes out of style. I just love color on color (blue on blue...pink on pink...white on white. It just works). The bright tones complemented his features beautifully and kept the focus on his happy expressions and growing personality. At six months, babies are alert, curious, and often starting to sit, which makes this milestone ideal for capturing genuine moments. Mom stayed so close to have a hand on him if he started to tip but he did so well with staying up! Of course we got lots on his belly and back for variety and to give him a break as well as keep it fresh.

For the second portion of the session, we kept things simple in my beloved white space with him in a diaper cover to show off those baby rolls. These images are always favorites and truly highlight the beauty of this fleeting stage.

Minimal styling allows your baby’s natural sweetness to shine, making these photos both classic and emotional keepsakes.
