If you love yummy cheeks, baby grins, and smashing cake then you’ve come to the right one year session blog post! I had the most fun with this little guy. I couldn’t help but smile every time he gave me a cheese!
He was so sweet and photogenic!
We started his cake smash with a few posed portraits in front of a white back drop. While we were here we used a few different props including my favorite antique chair and stool! Adding in props is such a fun way to grab the little ones reaction and allows me to capture a new side of their personality. Sometimes it helps babies feel more comfortable when they have something tangible to climb on, or make sounds with.
While I photographed this handsome guy in front of the white back drop, we added in a few baseball themed props. I love to personalize sessions like this! I think it adds variety and showcases your families interests and hobbies. Once I got a few photos I had mom change the baby while I set up for the cake smash portion. It’s true, a photo doesn’t lie…. this guy LOVED his cake! His dad and big sister even got in on the fun too! For the cake smash we decided on a gray and blue color scheme. I think this is the perfect look for any baby boy.
