Baby boy Amar’e was so much fun to photograph! His family brought him to see me at 15 days new and was so sleepy and sweet. He did so great for his newborn photos.
I was so excited to do a few shots of him and his dad. I like to start with a ‘safe shot’ and we got some really nice smiling images of them together (which can be rare for a newborn) and then went for the shot which was little Amar’e and his dad skin to skin. You may not believe it, but we got him all set and ready and dude did his business right in dad’s hand…not once, but twice! After it happened the first time, we got everything and the two of them cleaned up and his dad made the comment, ‘well that’s the worst that could happen and there’s no way it’ll happen again.’ I totally agreed and as soon as he was set, he reminded us who the boss was.
Obviously we tried yet again and these two just killed me with their bond and love that shows through the images. Totally a favorite dad and baby shot for me — check it out at the end of the post.
